I was brought on to be a DANTE patch technician for the National Educators Association Conference here in Chicago Summer 2022. My job was to manage and set up the virtual side of the event (Freeman) and coordinate with the live side of the event (IMS Technologies) so that we can join our two networks into one big happy network. Things honestly went very smooth. With 69 devices on the network we honestly didn’t have any issues besides having to restart virtual sound card on a computer one time, but the error happened overnight so it wasn’t a show critical error. This was the biggest DANTE network I have ever set up and it honestly was pretty smooth. Happy I did the level 1 and 2 training over the pandemic that is for sure.
